This project is made in cooperation with BeatBeamCannon and Enable Software and it's currently a work in progress. Are you ready for the ultimate Amiga brawler?
Pickup your time machine and travel back, dive into an alternative universe where Doom was never released for PCs in 1993, but several years earlier on the humble Amiga 500! Grind is a new fps game powered by the amazing Dread engine: a mindblowing achievement which showcases what was really possible with Amiga's original hardware!
This project is currently a work in progress.
In September of 2019 Krzysztof Kluczek (aka KK/Altair) reveals to the world his secret project, code named 'Dread Zone' and shocks the Amiga community to its core! An unimaginable first person shooter engine, capable of fullscreen resolution, textured walls, complex level geometry, sector lighting, outdoors areas, running with smooth frame rate on a humble, vanilla a500!
Soon after he is joined by John Tsakiris (Pixelglass co-founder, artist and game designer) and together they start working on a major visual upgrade with customised assets and new engine features and with the plan to do a demo release and kickstart a new community around the project. The work takes almost one year but pays off (while in the mean time artist 'PixelShade' also joins the effort) : at December of 2021, the team behind 'Dread' announces the release of the very first tech-demo and a proof of concept for an upcoming full game and also launches a new discord server for the project.
Fast forwards to October 2022 and almost another year of development has passed. The engine has seen an influx of new features including major upgrades to the available ram and custom maps functionality, while at the same time a series of new SDKs have been released, enabling the community to join the fun and create custom content. On the assets side we went from a handful of textures to more than 200 (!), including a lot new enemies, anims, fx, objects, items and sounds. And while most of these assets were kept public and available to our mapmakers and contributors, our team kept working on brand new ones, planning for a final game with a clearer stempunk and lovecraftian direction and refferences.
Which brings us to today. The plan we had for a final commercial game with high quality, custom pixel art and an original setting and story, has been seperated into it's own project named 'Grind', while the Dread-engine (and possibly a free game with different assets) is gonna kept being developed by KK.
And so the GRIND begins! :)

The holy island of Alarcity has been invaded by an unknown army seeking it's secrets. Assume the role of 'Algernon', a mysterious entity from a different plane, summoned (unwillingly) on the island and caught into the conflict.
Face dangerous enemies and hunt the powers of the Gods in an epic journey across the land! Find treasures, gain experience and become the ultimate weapon!
This game is currently a work in progress.
This is a demo made back in 2017 and was created as a standalone version to provide you with hours of fun and addictive gameplay!
Your objective is to survive as long as possible against an increasingly large and angry mob of enemy blobs! Kill enemies to level up, recieve XP orbs and upgrade your character, collect coins and gems to purchase Weapon and Element Upgrades as well as other useful items! Experiment, get more powerful, survive longer, repeat!
Note: Since the scope and direction of Alarcity has changed, this demo does no longer represent the final game.
We'd like to announce that since the closure of Bitronic (ex. Amiga.net.pl) the planned physical versions of the game are officially canceled. Despite this major setback, we still want to honour our commitment and deliver Alarcity, so we're currently trying to find a solution that could satisfy everyone that supported the game so far.
With this in mind, we urge all backers to directly contact us (with their old order number) in order to help us rebuild a new presales list database, as well as answer any question in regards to the above situation or the project in general.
A huge thanks to all for your patience and support!

Giana Sisters: Special Edition is an unofficial hack of the original Amiga version that replaces the entire visual aspect of the game! The new gfx are a mix of brand new designs and remastered originals, while Giana and some enemies are directly inspired from the 2009 DS version!
The game is built on the WHDLoad disk image of the original 1988 version and will run on any 68k Amiga with:
The Intro is designed to playback on any Amiga with at least 1MB RAM (will be skipped if the requirements are not met) and will auto detect your chipset. If you have an AGA chipset the Intro will display in 256 colours, otherwise it will display in EHB 64 colours.
The floppy disk version should run on any Amiga (even unexpanded A500 with 512kb). However, the optional intro disk requires 1MB of RAM and it will display EHB 64 colours only regardless of your chipset. This version comes in 2 adfs: Intro and Main game. Note that the game itself can be started from either of those 2 disks.
UAE users running the game from either ADF disk, are advised to use any default, non-expanded configuration (A500, A600, A1200 e.t.c.) OR have at least:
The CD32 version should run on any stock console. In addition, the game should run on expanded consoles, such as those containing an SX32 or SX-1 board.
The AmiBerry / A500 Mini version should run on any AmiBerry install, or an A500 Mini USB drive configured with the 1.1 USB Update - just download and unzip onto the USB drive.
